Cement Render (Sponged Finish)
UV stabilised PVC angles are installed to all externals, Bag Mix Acrylic Render is then applied to the brickwork. The second coat is floated flat and a wet sponge is applied to bring out the grain in the render and remove the float marks. All weep holes and control joints will be continued through the render system, including at termi-mesh/damp course height. The rendered walls are then ready to be painted.

Cement Render + Paint (2 Coats)
UV stabilised PVC angles are installed to all externals, Bag Mix Acrylic Render is then applied to the brickwork. The second coat is floated flat and a wet sponge is applied to bring out the grain in the render and remove the float marks. All weep holes and control joints will be continued through the render system, including at termi-mesh/damp course height. The rendered walls are then painted with two coats of high quality membrane paint that is tinted to any Australian Colour. This is the most popular system used with project builders and home renovators.

Cement Render + Texture Coat
UV stabilised PVC angles are installed to all externals, Bag Mix Acrylic Render is then applied to the brickwork. The second coat is floated flat creating a surface ready for the Texture Coat which can be tinted to most Australian paint colours.
This is a more flexible system than the 3 Star traditional painted cement render system. The pure acrylic Texture Coat is up to 20 times thicker than paint and is an excellent way to combat against future or pre-existing micro cracking, caused by expansion, contraction and minor structural movements.

The rendered and textured walls are then painted with two coats of high quality membrane paint that is tinted to any Australian Colour. This is a further flexible system than the 4 Star. The suitability and limitations of this system can be assessed up on site visit and quote.

Preparation Coat
Over previously painted brickwork we first apply an additional preparation coat. This coat is called Set n Prep or Keycote. It is a super high polymer modified – cement based render adhesive just as sticky as tile glue. This application creates a suitable surface ready for subsequent render coats.
- Surcharges

Surcharges
For raked brickwork (found on most existing homes) we charge an extra $2 – $10 +GST Per Square Metre. This covers the cost of extra material and work associated with filling the rake in the mortar joint, it also covers the costs associated with a slower work speed around obstacles found on an existing home (pipes, A/C units, wires, conduits). The surcharge also covers the costs associated with protecting existing ground coverings such as decks, paths, tiles and driveways. Working at heights not only is a slower process, but requires the use of trestles and planks. Due to the costs associated with this we charge an additional $4+Gst Per Square Metre for rendering 2nd floor levels. As you can appreciate, some brickwork requires additional work. Tumble bricks, split face blocks and uneven surfaces are among those substrates that chew up more material and time during the rendering process. Surcharges vary.
Piers, niches, nibs, obstacles, roof work and archways can be slow and fiddly. Generally face areas less than 750mm require a surcharge. All surcharges are applied at our discretion to effectively allow for the scope of work
